Devesh Mistry, a post graduate of National Institute of Design (NID) would bag a royalty of rupees one for every hanger sold by the design company.
This young and upcoming designer from NID, awe-struck by the amount of struggling required taking apparels out from a hanger, got inspired to create a collapsible garment hanger.
This unique invention will find a huge space in retail outlets where customers battle with the conventional ones before getting on with their trials.
The hanger was displayed at the Design Idea Fair (DIF) 2007 in Bangalore where it seized the attention of the design company and from that day onwards, there is no looking back for Devesh Mistry.
Over the years, NID has ensured that the creators of the designs get his/her deserved share of recognition from the market. So whether it's a design concept, a prototype or a finished product, the institute secures a right price from the industry and for the creators.
Besides, NID also ensures that the designs invented by its students and faculty get registered to avoid any duplication.
