Terry McDonald, Senior Vice President Marketing at Mervyns

Leading promotional neighborhood department store, Mervyns announced the appointment of Terry McDonald as senior Vice President of marketing, and the promotion of Robert Raible to Vice President of creative/marketing. McDonald will report directly to Rick Leto, Mervyns' President and Chief Merchandising Officer, with Raible reporting to McDonald.

'Terry and Robert each have more than 25 years of marketing experience and understand the retail industry, and most importantly, the Mervyns customer,' said Rick Leto. 'By creating compelling marketing campaigns and executing innovative promotional strategies, their customers will enjoy even more of the style, quality, service and exceptional value that they've come to expect from Mervyns.'

As senior Vice President of marketing, McDonald oversees all marketing functions at Mervyns, including creative, broadcast, packaging, media planning, marketing operations, and public affairs. Terry is responsible for the strategic development, planning and execution of the Company's advertising and sales promotion strategies and for marketing Mervyn's owned- and national-brand products through various media vehicles.

McDonald joins Mervyns from Sears, Roebuck & Company, where he was Vice President, marketing and merchandising integration. Prior to that, McDonald was with Shopko Stores Inc, serving as senior Vice President, marketing and communications, and previous to that, he was senior Vice President, marketing for Payless Shoe Source. Terry also served in various marketing and merchandising management positions with M. O'Neill Company, a division of May Department Stores, and Cain-Sloan Company, a division of Allied Stores Corporation. Terry received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
