Nordstrom to host 'Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes' 8K run

On Sunday, May 18th, traffic near the University of Washington and Montlake Bridge in Seattle will be temporarily interrupted for the 26th annual Nordstrom Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes 8K run, which benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Montlake Closures: From 7:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Montlake Boulevard will be closed from NE, Pacific Street to 44th Avenue NE.
520 Ramp Delays: From 8:15 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., both Eastbound and Westbound off-ramps to, 520 at Montlake will experience delays.
Bridge Closures: The Montlake Bridge will close from 8:15 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. The University Bridge will close from 8:40 a.m. until 9:10 a.m. Both bridges will be closed to road and waterway traffic.
Boyer Avenue Closure and Pacific Avenue Traffic Delay Boyer Avenue East in both directions from Lynn Street to University Bridge will be closed from 8:20 a.m. until 9:10 a.m. There will be additional traffic delays on Pacific Avenue from 8:15 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Visitors to the University of Washington campus during the aforementioned times should expect limited parking and possible delays as there are additional race routes that take participants through the campus.
This year's Nordstrom Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes events are expected to attract over 9,000 participants and spectators.
