Fashion industry is known for its larger than life and sumptuous mannerism. The high profile label that is attached with it, often comes under fierce criticism. However, African fashion sector proved the watchdogs of the society wrong, by holding a fund raising show in National Park of Nairobi.

'Fashion for Peace', was organized for generating revenue for people dislocated by political unrest after the highly disputed general elections that shook the nation gravely.

Renowned designers from Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal presented their exclusive creations. Mostly West and East African models walked on the ramp showcasing brilliant collections that reflected the traditions and vibrant culture of the country.

The event was highly appreciated by the audience and they showed their admiration by applauding endlessly. Ann McCreath, famous Kenyan designer was the brain behind the show, whose main purpose was to promote peace and harmony, so that people can once again live a normal life.
