BFW, fashionable feast for fashionistas

Bahamas, known for its exotic, islands will dip once again in fashion bonanza as the 12th Annual Bahamas Fashion Week (BFW), will begin from July 5 and will continue till 12. Every year, Fifth Avenue Marketing, a model agency organizes the extravagant event for the fashionistas.

At the opening of the week long feast, Peter Nygard, a renowned fashion tycoon of North America will be honoured for his immense contribution in this field. More than 30 national and international designers and models will participate in the prestigious event.

Some of the top domestic designers will showcase their creative collections along with American counterparts, who are all set to seize the show. BFW, is one of the most popular events in the country not only for its grand fashion shows but also for the wild and larger than life night parties.

During the fashion week many trends are being set by the participating designers for the glitteratis, who grace the event with their presence. The stunning and amazing collections that are displayed by famous models get appreciated for the exclusivity.

For uplifting the fashion sector of the nation the Bahamas Technical Vocational Institution has recently joined hands with the University of Incarnate World in San Antonio, Texas.

This step will help local design students to take part in an exchange program at Texas and get themselves acquainted with latest trends and techniques.
