Our glamorous and elegant collection, designed exclusively for Shopshop.com by our own designer, Andy Anand, features fabrics from around the world as well as intricate embellishments that will set your gown apart from any other.
Our dresses are not mass-produced. We are the direct manufacturer and we produce each design in a limited number, so our gowns are as unique as you are. Here at Shopshop.com, we've cut out the “middle man.” That means that we can keep our prices low – as much as 50% to 80% below our competition – while we keep the quality and craftsmanship high.
Andy has gone to great efforts to design gowns to flatter every girl's or woman's figure. While touring our website, here are some tips to keep in mind:
• If you have a fuller figure, remember that a bias-cut gown is always a slimming look, as it creates a long, flowing line. Think simple and sexy! An A-line gown with a V-neck will accentuate your bust line while hiding any imperfections in the thigh and bottom area. Look for smooth, lightweight fabrics like chiffon, silk, or light satins.
• For those with a pear shape (fuller hips), off-the-shoulder straps create a great horizontal line at shoulder level, balancing out your thighs and making your waist look smaller. A strapless A-line gown draws the eye to your neck, shoulders and bust line. A classic ball gown can hide wide hips as well, while vertical princess seams on an A-line dress can create a slimming effect. Look for embellishments in the bodice area to draw attention upwards.
