The Government of Brazil acknowledged China as one of the most important export market in Asia.

In fact, the Government has also expressed hopes of enlarging Brazilian trade with China for mutual benefits.

It has been pointed out that Brazilian products, especially cosmetics, footwear and leather products have a huge demand in China and a transaction of these goods would not only increase the influx of revenues but would also ensure to strengthen foothold in the Chinese market.

Brazilian Government has decided to achieve the target of 1.25 percent of the total global export value for which it has aimed to explore 16 export markets including China, US and Russia.

Statistical report shows that in the year 2007, the total import value of China reached US $956.261 billion of which export value from Brazil was only $18.342 billion accounting for 1.91 percent of the total import value of China.

In view of the fact that the export potential of Brazil is much more than has been explored, the Government has urged exporters and manufacturers to strive hard to take these figures on a higher plane.
