Warnaco names Bob Dakin Senior Vice President retail

The Warnaco Group Inc announced the appointment of Bob Dakin to the newly created role of Senior Vice President, Retail. Mr. Dakin will work with the Company's business leaders to further develop global retail strategies, ensure consistency across all of Warnaco's retail operations and identify retail opportunities within the United States. Mr. Dakin will report directly to Joe Gromek, President and Chief Executive Officer of Warnaco.
Mr. Dakin joins Warnaco from J. Jill, where he served as Senior Vice President, Store Operations. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President, Director of Stores for Brooks Brothers and prior to that, Senior Vice President of Stores for Ann Taylor. Dakin began his career at Lord & Taylor.
Joe Gromek, Warnaco's President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "We are delighted to welcome Bob to our team. His retail experience will be invaluable to us as we continue to expand our direct-to-consumer presence globally."
