Fashion Week opens with more than 1,100 exhibitors

Featured designers are: Chen Dao, Mandy Cheng, Mia Cheung, Chow Tan Tan, Ruby Chui, Jay Cow, Walter Kong, Sherry Kwok, Henry Lau, Michael Lau, Hin Lee, Timbee Lo, Kevin Ng, Otto Tang, Harrison Wong and Vikki Yau.
They are either winners or finalists of the Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers' Contest and Hong Kong New Fashion Collection Award, organised by the HKTDC.
The art and graphics exhibition will showcase creative offerings from advertising, graphic design, illustration, product design, publishing and sculpture.
It will be held 8-11 July, at the HKCEC, Hall 1A, Concourse. Besides the fashion shows, the HKTDC has organised eight professional seminars to provide industry players with up-to-date market intelligence.
Topics include fashion, colour and fabric trends, eco-textiles, retail strategies, as well as marketing trends in the Chinese mainland. The HKTDC has organised 70 missions with more than 2,100 buyers from around the world.
Among them are buying representatives from well-known fashion brands and leading chain stores and distributors, including: USA's Guess and Victoria's Secret; UK's Tie Rack Retail Group, Canada's Boutique Marie Claire, Poland's LLP SA and Australia's Empire Rose.
Joining Mr Fang at opening ceremony were Mrs Lynn WW Tsang, Wife of the Financial Secretary of HKSAR and Mr Fred Lam, Executive Director of the HKTDC.
