DFW, a display of creative genius

Dhaka Fashion Week (DFW) 2008, has become one of the most talked about event of the capital city these days, and is drawing lot of attention from fashionistas. Domestic designers are displaying their stunning creations to the fashion conscious spectators of Bangladesh.

The fresh and stylish clothing line Taaga by Aarong gathered lot of appreciation for its beautiful blend of colours and fabrics. The collection for teens had a wide range of garments in hues of aqua blue, yellow, purple, orange and white. Stylish denims, stunning shirts, tunics, t-shirts and kurtis in cotton, linen, silk and muslin were a huge hit. The experimentation done with lengths and edges, made the garments not only fascinating but also fashionable.

Aarong also presented its traditional 'nokshi kantha' collection that had a fusion look. Salwar suits and saris were crafted from fabrics like silk, muslin, creep and khadi with kolka motifs made the customary attire look extremely captivating.

Sherwanis in off-whites, maroons, browns and black all gathered rave reviews form the audience. The fine embroidery added a chic look to the otherwise sophisticated sherwani. Once again Aarong, the leading fashion house of Bangladesh proved its potential in front of audience.

On the other hand, Qazi Quamrul stunned the onlookers by bringing different patterned clothes for fashion freaks. Qazi made use of different fabrics and yarns to create some remarkable pieces of garments that turned out to be show stealer.

The fashion week is organized by Marico, will come to an end tomorrow. The organizers are extremely pleased with the positive response they have received from participating designers as well as spectators.
