Designer Sararose Krenger will debut her high-end line of evening wear entitled "Sararose" at Couture Fashion Week in New York City.

The fashion show will be held on Friday, September 5, 2008 in the Majestic Ballroom of the elegant Westin Times Square Hotel, in the heart of the Big Apple.

Sararose Krenger, the passion and pizzazz behind Stix and Roses, has been designing and styling for a number of years. Sararose studied design and apparel manufacturing at the highly regarded Fashion Institute of Design and merchandising (FIDM) in San Francisco.

She has also worked as a stylist for M. Fillmore, the indie rock band. She completed her summer internship in Chicago at the chic Beta Boutique, in the Bucktown neighborhood.

Sararose spent a year on Worth Avenue in the very stylish city of Palm Beach researching trends and studying classic designers such as Coco Chanel, Emilio Pucci, Ralph Lauren and others.

Sararose also has a love for vintage fashion and has spent hours gathering information and collecting samples in the fabulous stores and boutiques in Chicago, Palm Beach, New York, and San Francisco. She brings this experience and love for traditions adding a little touch of the eclectic to each garment she creates.

Sararose strives to help women to recognize and express their inner beauty in the clothing and accessories they wear.

"It's all about understanding how very special and unique you are", says Sararose, "and not being afraid to celebrate and honor all that which God created you to be.

Colors, fabrics, the cut of a dress or suit . . . all are created for a purpose, and that purpose is to enhance each individual's personal beauty."

Inspiration for the "Sararose" evening collection came from the silhouettes and extravagance of 1930's. The collection features sweetheart necklines, bold collars, fishtail skirts, and body-hugging silhouettes.

Texture is a key element in this collection. It is seen in the mixtures of such fabrics as satin, silk dupioni, and tulle, as well as in the use of tufting.

Colors range from soft champagne gold, burgundy, luminous silver, emerald green, and of course, the ever-sophisticated and luxurious black.
