The Board of Directors of VF Corporation, a global leader in branded lifestyle apparel, has elected Charles V. (Chip) Bergh to serve as a director, effective immediately. Bergh is Group President, Global Personal Care for the Procter & Gamble Company (P&G).
Bergh, 50, has held a progression of leadership roles during his 25-year career with P&G. He was appointed to his current role in 2007 and has responsibility for P&G's $15 billion global personal care business, which includes Gillette Blades & Razors, Braun, and P&G's Personal Beauty Care portfolio.
In 2005, Bergh was selected to lead the company's $5 billion blades and razors business following the acquisition of Gillette. From 2000 to 2005, he led P&G's business in South East Asia as President, ASEAN/Australasia/India.

Bergh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lafayette College in Easton, Pa. He is a member of the executive committee of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and is a board member of the Greater Boston United Way.
