A.J. Wright opens new store in Baltimore

A.J. Wright, a leading off-price clothing store that offers quality, well-known brands at great prices, is Mondawmin Mall's newest resident.
Beginning Thursday, August 7, 2008, A.J. Wright will open its doors at 2010 Gwynn Falls Parkway, Baltimore, Md, 21216.
A.J. Wright offers significant values on family apparel and footwear, accessories, home fashions, giftware, including toys and games, and special, opportunistic purchases. Customers benefit from prices that are up to 70 percent off discount and chain store name brand prices.
A.J. Wright store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Customers can also join AJWdeals.com to be in on exclusive promotions and events before anyone else.
As an added economic benefit, the new Baltimore A.J. Wright store brings more than 50 new jobs to the area.
"We're excited to open an A.J. Wright near downtown Baltimore," said Kathy Clair, A.J. Wright manager of marketing.
"We're encouraging residents to come see the store on Thursday and start finding their own real deals. Our merchandise mix changes weekly, so customers always have a fresh selection of stylish, affordable clothing."
A.J. Wright grand opening festivities kickoff on Thursday at 8:45 a.m. with a special presentation to the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Baltimore Area.
A representative from the Boys & Girls Clubs, as well as local dignitaries, will be present at the new store as A.J. Wright representatives make a donation to the organization.
"A.J. Wright has clearly displayed a genuine commitment to the Baltimore community in their generous donation to our local chapters.
We are looking forward to strengthening our partnership with them in the future," said Wanda Newton, area director of the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Baltimore Area.
Following the check presentation, the store ribbon cutting will take place with A.J. Wright store team members and local dignitaries on hand.
Beginning at 9:00 a.m, Baltimore residents in attendance can take advantage of several unique promotions. Throughout the day, the grand opening will feature an open casting call for aspiring fashion models in a search for the newest face of A.J. Wright.
Customers can stop by the fashion photo shoot at the store to audition from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The winner will be featured as a model in an A.J. Wright advertisement, and will receive $250 as well as the clothes they modeled. Furthermore, the first 100 store visitors will each be awarded $20 gift cards.
