Akwa to host the sizzling fashion & style show

Fascinating combinations of modern fabrics, embellishments, striking designs and a touch of African glamour will all be indispensable to the catwalk of Uyo at Ibom Fashion and Style show.
Organizers of this fashion and style show have designed this event with the objective of sustaining and boosting the fashion industry in Akwa Ibom State. They firmly believe that it will act as a dream platform for both upcoming and established designers to showcase their talents.
The premier edition of the show is scheduled to be held this Friday in Ibom Hall of Uyo and will feature some seven designers and 40 models on the ramp. Models on the catwalk will don collections of Annie G, Cowries and Basigz and will be guided by such biggies in the fashion world like Idongesit Ben, Ubong Inyang, Mfon Udoh and Ekaette Etuk.
Feron, Mon Ami, Modela and Emmy Couture, some of the popular design maestros will be attending the fashion extravaganza as guest designers.
Giving an insight to this much awaited-style show, organizers have vouched for an exciting twist on the runway through a costume parade that will represent the cultural heritage and traditional trappings of Akwa Ibom people. Besides, the fashion event also has a lot to offer to designers as well as models in terms of experience and opportunities.
The event will also support the cause of charity in a big way as nearly 30 percent of the proceeds from the show would be utilized for providing service to Hope Foundation, a charitable endeavour of Netlink Communications.
