According to the statistics, in Chinese children shoes market, 70 percent are unbranded products, 20 percent are shoes of foreign brands, and only 10 percent are made-in-China shoes.
Reportedly, foreign brands are dominating the high-end markets, while the domestic childeren's footwear labels are present in low and middle grade markets.
Experts believe domestic brands cannot match the quality and styles of foreign children's shoe brands. Thus, they are unable to penetrate top-grade segments.
They advice that instead of just following adult styles and designs for children, local companies must research and study international brand products and treat kids footwear segment on a separate level.
According to the statistics, there are 300 million of children and 10 million newborns each year in China.
Analysts urge the domestic companies to recognize the potential market and take the necessary steps to bag major share in it, particularly in high-end segment.
