Mr Renaud Dutreil to represent LVMH in North America

LVMH announces the appointment of Renaud Dutreil as Chairman of LVMH Inc., based in New York, as of 1 September 2008. He will represent the group in North America, notably to public authorities and business community. He will ensure the regional coordination of the activities of the Group's Maisons focusing on business performance and image coherence.

He will also be responsible for the Group's common departments in the United States and will bring his expertise to the support functions (finance, legal, property, communication and human resources) favouring best practice deployment and contributing to the group's culture of talent identification and valuation both internally and externally.

Renaud Dutreil, a graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure and the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (1987/89) is member of the Council of State. Most recently, from 2005 to 2007, he was Minister for small & medium-sized businesses, commerce, crafts and liberal professions.
