Affordable fur accessories for active women by Norma Jean

After a year of retirement, Norma Jean and Cedric Kirchner's passion for fashion was reinvigorated when they realized there was a void in the marketplace for stylish yet affordable fur accessories.

The Kirchners, through the power of home shopping on ShopNBC, are now making it more accessible for active woman to enhance and update her wardrobe with these fun, little luxuries.

Cedric's Luxe Collection is designed by Norma Jean Kirchner, who has 40 years of success in the luxury fur business. Cedric's Luxe Collection features unique textures, colors and styling for active woman, and are must-have additions to fall and winter wardrobes.

Their affordability makes it possible for women to have look and own a variety of fur accessories to fit a range of occasions from day-to-day wear around town to an elegant evening at the symphony.

Cedric's Luxe Collection is scheduled to launch its 2008 fall fashion season on ShopNBC and ShopNBC.com: Friday, August 15 at noon and 10 pm, Saturday, August 16 at 7 am and 2 pm, and Sunday, August 17 at 10 am. All times CDT.

The trend towards fashionable, affordable fur accessories for active women including jackets, wraps, collars and scarves is driven by Norma Jean and her husband Cedric, also a successful 40-year veteran in the luxury fur business.

The Kirchners eliminated most of the costs associated with design, manufacturing, wholesale and retail. These savings are passed on to the ShopNBC customers.

Cedric's Luxe Collection of fur accessories has become one of the most popular names in furs in America. The collection includes a wide range of unique styles, classic looks, and contemporary flair.

For several years, Cedric's has been showcasing its luxury line of furs on ShopNBC, a direct-to-consumer, multi-media shopping destination for little luxuries and fashion must-haves.

"These are not your grandmother's mink coats," says Norma Jean, who contends the fur industry has failed to evolve. Additionally, Norma Jean thought the industry lacked focus and didn't appear to align with the emerging trends that meet the needs of active woman.

"Our fur accessories are designed to be lightweight, fluid and move easily, unlike traditional fur coats that are typically full-pelted and heavy.

Our designs incorporate modern cuts, unique colorations and often knit together different types of furs, such as Rex Rabbit, mink, fox and raccoon, along with cashmere, Kalgan lamb and other materials to create interesting textures. The result: exquisite garments that have attitude, are fun to wear and make you feel good."
