Westfield gets Mamas & Papas designer nursery brand

Mamas & Papas, the designer nursery brand, have announced the locations of the four new stores in a major new retail expansion program.
The new stores will be Westfield in West London, Gallagher Retail Park in Birmingham, Capital Retail Park in Cardiff and Victoria Square in Belfast. The openings are in addition to the Nottingham store planned for November 08 at Giltbrook Retail Park.
Marek Laskowski, Managing Director of the retail arm of Mamas & Papas commented,
This new phase of store launches represents the ambition within Mamas & Papas to build on current success and meet the ongoing demand by our customers. A Cardiff store has been long over due in our retail portfolio and the additional stores in the Midlands and London demonstrate the scale of demand for our products and services.
The Belfast store is an opportunity for our Northern Ireland customers to experience our collections in full and no longer have to travel to our Dublin stores and purchase in Euro.
Mamas & Papas are bucking the high street down turn and are determined to capitalise on strong like for like sales which the brand has been enjoying.”
The new store launches will cultivate over 150 new jobs in the retail sector and with the brand announcing a +46% uplift in fashion sales for the Spring Summer period against the same period last year, further store launches look to follow in 2009 as demand for the brand increases.
