A.J. Wright to establish its presence in the Bronx

A.J. Wright, a leading off-price clothing store that offers quality, well-known brands at great prices, is the New Horizon Shopping Center's newest resident.
Beginning Thursday, September 25, 2008, A.J. Wright will open its doors at 961 East 174th Street, Bronx, N.Y, 10460.
A.J. Wright offers significant values on family apparel and footwear, accessories, home fashions, giftware, including toys and games, and special, opportunistic purchases. Customers benefit from prices that are up to 70 percent off discount and chain store name brand prices.
A.J. Wright store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Customers can also to be in on exclusive promotions and events before anyone else. As an added economic benefit, the new Bronx A.J. Wright store brings more than 50 new jobs to the area.
"We're excited to establish our presence in the Bronx," said Kathy Clair, A.J. Wright manager of marketing. "We're encouraging residents to come see the store on Thursday and start finding their own real deals. Our merchandise mix changes weekly, so customers always have a fresh selection of stylish, affordable clothing."
A.J. Wright grand opening festivities kickoff on Thursday at 8:45 a.m. with a special presentation to the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club.
A representative from the Boys & Girls Club, as well as local dignitaries, will be present at the new store as A.J. Wright representatives make a donation to the organization.
"A.J. Wright's generous donation to our local chapter helps us to grow our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all young people in our community," said Andrew McFall, Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club deputy director of operations.
Following the check presentation, the store ribbon cutting will take place with A.J. Wright store team members and local dignitaries on hand.
Beginning at 9:00 a.m., Bronx residents in attendance can take advantage of several unique promotions. The first 100 store visitors will each be awarded $20 gift cards.
Throughout the day, the grand opening will feature an open casting call for aspiring fashion models in a search for the newest face of A.J. Wright.
Customers can stop by the fashion photo shoot at the store to audition from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The winner may be featured as a model in an A.J. Wright advertisement, and will receive $250 as well as the clothes they modeled.
