Dubai is now being seen as a fashion hub of the Middle East with a large choice of high-street fashion apparel and accessories available throughout the city.

The legendary high end brand, Givenchy has had great success in the Middle East and considers it a dynamic market. According to Marchpole Holdings, a UK based fashion operator, which is now in agreement with DKNY International, 'the Far East and Middle East is a highly lucrative market'.

Dubai is a cosmopolitan city, catering to a mix of nationalities. The fashion retail sector of the city is supported by a booming economy and a high purchasing power, and thus more fashion brands are seen to be moving towards this region.

Motexha is the largest trade event in the Middle East, focusing on Garments, Textiles, Leather and Fashion accessories. This exhibition is the only platform offering business opportunities for manufacturers, traders and suppliers in the fashion industry.

The 2009 edition of Motexha is going to be held from April 7 – 9 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre. Following the conclusion of a successful show in 2008, the event next year promises new and exciting features for both exhibitors and visitors alike.

The success of 2008 event led to the rebooking of 40% of the exhibit space after only a few months of the show.
