Finally, a chic, intelligent way emerges to empower girls around the world. Startiste a revolutionary retail entertainment company, is transforming girls' passion for fashion into a highly interactive and empowering design experience.

At Startiste stores, girls design and personalize their own fashion accessories and beauty products in a glamorous, high-tech environment that promotes achievement and making a difference.

Startiste's "Do it Yourself" experience inspires its young teen customers to "Free Your Beautiful" and reach for the stars. The first store, located at Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, NY, and the brand's website, debuted in September.

Startiste is truly the first retailer to combine fashion, personalization, and inspiration into a new world for girls. Startiste's creator and CEO, Cathy Taylor, notes: "Since before Cleopatra, girls of all ages have loved fashion and beauty.

Rather than try to change girls and their interests, Startiste simply makes their favorite places and pastimes more empowering."

The store features three design studios: Satchels & Swatches for handbags, Sparkles & Stones for jewelry, and Lotions & Potions for beauty products.

In each design studio, the design process is linked to empowering themes. Handbag styles are linked to inspiring women leaders, jewelry items to important philanthropic themes, and beauty products to wellness issues.

The store includes a community area where girls can gather to work on their designs and hang out. Startiste is also the perfect party destination, offering an array of Startiste Soiree options.

Girls, as designers, use a simple, high-tech process to design their fashion accessories. First, designers choose from the candy store-like assortment of handbag, jewelry, and beauty components.

Next, they use the iSparkle Pods to design and personalize their creations. Finally, designers place their orders in the Shooting Star's crystal balls, where they are whisked away to be prepared by Supernovas.

Just a few minutes later, designers receive their completed, personalized design, packaged in a glamorous box that includes inspiring information about their designs' empowerment theme.

The brand's chic style, cutting-edge technology, and smart product themes are proving popular not only with girls, but also with women of all ages.

Taylor, no stranger to fashion or to making a difference in the world, is a former American Express marketing executive and National Security Council Policy Director, who received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School.

She is also the great granddaughter of the late Maurice Ourman, couture designer for Patou Paquin in Paris and Bergdorf Goodman.
