Spring editions of Mipel and Mifur to be held in March 2009

Mipel will offer its guests special events inside and outside the expo. It will also inaugurate a new Top Club dedicated to buyers coming from the “Russian Continent” that will join the two existing ones and is specifically reserved to the many Russian buyers expected to attend the show.
All visitors can stop at the new Juicy Lounge in Pavilion 16, an elegant area where guests can relax and sip tasty fruit juices and shakes.
From September 22 to October 15, 2008, the Milan Triennial will host the “Viaggiare con la Moda” exhibit dedicated to the photos of Elsa Haertter.
The exhibit has been organized by Armando Honegger S.r.l., in cooperation with MODAcontents TREMELLONI – INDACO Department of the Milan Polytechnic Institute and with the endorsement of Mipel, to underline the bond of culture, business and fashion that links Mipel to Milan.
It is an opportunity to admire a striking selection of images, photographs, letters and materials of the great Elsa Haertter, the versatile artist who revolutionized Italian advertising in the fifties and transformed the simple “postcard” into an object full of imagination that told a story and took its viewers on a fantastic voyage.
Aimpes and Mipel keep fighting their far-sighted battle to protect the leather goods industry, its workers, and consumers against counterfeit goods.
The awareness campaign exposing the damage of this illegal parallel business continues, thanks to the traveling Cube exhibit “Da noi i falsi sono banditi” [Counterfeit goods are outlawed here] presenting counterfeit bags, which has become a symbol of the leather industry's fight against knock-off products, and to the new project“ “No alla contraffazione, sì alla qualità” [No to counterfeiting, yes to quality], the new Cube created in cooperation with Fiera Milano.
Until the end of the year, people entering the trade fair grounds from Porta Est will be able to view the finest original handbags, shoes, eyewear, leather and fur clothing, next to their inferior knock-off imitations.
The Cube was made possible through the partnership between Mipel, Micam, Mifur, Mido, Macef and Artigiano in Fiera: 6 leading international exhibitions that, along with Fiera Milano, want to stress their commitment to legality.
