Russian Fashion Week to host top designers

RFW puts a lot of efforts into the educational constituent of the event. As usual special fashion and business seminars and round-tables will be held within the up-coming Russian Fashion Week season.

This season special lectures will be given by Godfrey Deeny, renowned fashion journalist and founder of Fashionwiredaily and Jason Campbell, President of JC Report.

Worldwide known Topshop fashion Company is introducing a new unprecedented project: Russian Fashion Faces exhibition at RFW venue will showcase collections of 12 young designers – RFW participants, shot by 12 young trendy photographers and created as art-objects by 12 edgy illustrators. The exhibition will include also special press events.

To celebrate 100 years of the first movie in Russia, RFW will implement the Fashion-Cinema project. Iconic stylish and fashion motion pictures of the 40s-50s will be rotated non-stop in a specially equipped lounge zone of the main RFW venue.

World Fashion Channel makes live broadcasting of all Russian Fashion Week catwalk shows. WFC is a satellite TV-channel with more than 100-million audience worldwide.

Along with TV broadcast of Russian Fashion Week, Rambler.ru, the most popular Russian search engine, will arrange live Internet broadcast reaching out to 20 millions of Russian Internet users.

“This is a significant moment for Russian designers”, - according to Alexander Shumsky. “They get access to millions of people via TV and Internet broadcasting. Russian fashion goes global".

Russian Fashion Week informally opens on October 27 with a fashion party in the Famous club. Traditionally RFW's “night on the eve” opening attracts over 2,000 Moscow fashionistas and trendsetters.
