55 Intl collections partake in LeShowroom trade fair

The 12th edition of the LeShowroom trade fair took place
between the 1st and 5th of October, 2008 at the Espace
Richelieu, where it brought together a selection of 55
international collections of ready-to-wear and fashion

New in this season, LeShowroom had a dedicated space for
perfumes, in association with Différentes Latitudes, a niche
perfume specialist.

13 brands successfully participated in this Parisian première.
The alliance between ready-to-wear, fashion accessories and
perfume, gave a lift to exhibitors and buyers alike, and allowed the boutiques to enlarge their product offer.

LeShowroom gave carte blanche to Aurélie Mathigot, the artist
who designed the show's visual communication. She exhibited
her work, based on the theme of textiles and the idea of
covering (embroidered photos, crocheted objects,

She also invited Muriel Abadie and Sophie Cuvelier to participate in an artistic path through the fair. The total number of visitors rose over previous session, a progression created by the presence of new buyers who came to visit the Perfume space.

The visitor breakdown, by geographical zones, was as follows:
France: 35% (versus 29% in February 2008 and International: 65% of which Europe 20% (versus 28% in February 2008), Asia 37% (versus 40% in February 2008), USA 3% (same as February 2008), Others 5% (versus 1,3% in February 2008).

The main increase that we could see was in buyers from
France and Russia. The next edition of LeShowroom will take place at L'Espace Richelieu, from 4 - 8 March 2009.
