Presentation of the Swiss Textiles Award at Stella Fashion Night

The designer collections and their catwalk presentations will be assessed against the following main criteria: creativity, innovation and commercial quality of the particular labels.

The annabelle award winner: one year internship at Missoni: The annabelle award will be presented for the fifth time on the same evening. This prize consists of one year's work experience with a prestigious international fashion house outside Switzerland. This year, the winner will work with the Missoni team in Northern Italy. The prize will be presented personally on this evening by Angela Missoni. Ms. Missoni has been chief designer for the label since 1997 and has vigorously continued the work first done by her parents Rosita and Ottavio Missoni since 1953. With an emphasis on knitwear, the brand has transformed knits from their hitherto frumpy image with the use of ever evolving techniques.

Angela Missoni has also assured the brand's sustained success by granting licences for interior design products, crockery and eyewear - and by the inauguration of new shops around the world. On the show evening, the new Missoni fragrance will also be presented by her daughter Margherita.

Presentation of Patricia Field's collection & last year's winner: In the course of the evening, last year's Swiss Textiles Awards winner, Marios Schwab, will be showing his new summer collection. In addition, the American fashion designer Patricia Field will be presenting part of a unique collection which is avalaible in retail outlets worldwide till the 16th October. The legendary designer from New York rose to fame through her styling work for the cult TV series “Sex and the City” and the cinema hit “The Devil Wears Prada”. But due to her unique career, Field has transcended the familiar roles of a stylist and designer. Part of this collection will be on sale exclusively in all Globus branches throughout Switzerland (www.globus.ch) from the end of October.

Franziska Knuppe will be the presenter for the evening - The German supermodel Franziska Knuppe will present the evening's festivities. Discovered in 1997 by Wolfgang Joop, she won the “Elite Model Look” Germany in 1998 and has since become one of Germany's most popular models and constantly ranks high in the Model Vogue Voting (Vogue.com's Model Top Voting 100). She also presented the second edition of the 3+ “Supermodel” series in Switzerland.
