Italian Jewellery Awards to take place in Amalfi

• Antonio Citterio; Graduated architect and founder of “Antonio Citterio & Partners” specialising in industrial design. Clients include Ansorg, Arclinea, Artemide, B&B Italia, J.C.Decaux, Flexform, Flos, Fusital, Hansgrohe, Inda, iittala, Kartell, Maxalto, Pozzi e Ginori etc.

• Dr Federico Lasco; Graduated from the Bocconi University of Milan, faculty of Economics and Social Science. In 2000 he became Head of Social and Development Policies at the Ministry for Economics and Finance (Treasury). Since 2005 he has been the Head of the Department for Development & Enhancement of local Crafts and the Head of Department for planning of the Regional Economic Development in Campania, Italy. Dr Lasco is also the Commissioner for the Industrial Development of Naples (A.S.I.). He has written several articles on law, economics and criminality.

• Cristina Morozzi ; Journalist and curator at various art, fashion and design exhibitions. She has worked 9 years for the Italian magazine of design “Modo”. Christina has previous experience as judge and has also consulted various fashion and design companies. She has been Professor at the Domus Accademy in Milan and at the École Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne. Cristina is currently editor of Casa Viva, a monthly publication and also correspondent for various international interiour magazines. Her own books published include; Interior with Edra, Andrea Banzi and Anna Castelli Ferrieri (Grandi Opere) and Stile Italiano.

• Alessandra Quattordio; Editor of Architectural Digest covering Art and Jewellery. Editor at Vogue Gioiello from 1988 to 1999. Editor for art, jewellery and design magazines and dictionaries such as: “Flas Art”, “Arte”, “Art In”, “Novecento da Collezionare”, “Dictionnaire International du Bijou” (Paris, Edition du Regard), “Dizionario della Moda” of Guido Vergani (Baldini&Castoldi, editions 1999 and 2004).

• Francoise Tessier; is the Head Buyer for Browns fine jewellery in London. Browns is one of London's most important fashion destinations and the Founder, Joan Burstein, is credited for discovering such talents as John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, Hussein Chalayan and Commes des Garcons. Browns offers pieces that have been individually handpicked from the world's top designers. "We buy only pieces we like, we edit tremendously. It's all a concept." says Mrs. Joan Burstein.

• Jonathan Kendall; Chairman of the Marketing and Education Commission of CIBJO (The World Jewellery Confederation) and Global Operations Director for Forevermark, De Beers new polished diamond brand. Jonathan has a long history of luxury marketing in the Fragrance, Cosmetics and Jewellery Sectors, having worked with brands including Valentino, Boss, Chloe, Fendi, Calvin Klein and Karl Lagerfeld. Jonathan joined the De Beers Group in 2001 to set up and head a new Client Management function. In 2004 he was promoted into the International and Trade Marketing Director's role.

The Italian Jewellery Awards is launching 15 November 2008 in honour of the authentic crafts and skills delivered by Italian artisan jewellers and goldsmiths within the region, presenting a spectacular accolade of precious jewellery design to date. The event further promotes the nature and artistic excellence of its 'terroir' that makes this region so prominent.
