Yves Castaldi is in Fashion at Chinese American Film Festival

YVES CASTALDI, always an iconoclast and ever a prime mover for international cooperation, will be one of the first non-Asian designers to show at the Third Annual Chinese American Film Festival, an event which is fast becoming a world cultural exchange of the first import. Couturier Castaldi collectibles colorfully canter down the runway on November 5, 2008 at the San Gabriel Hilton Hotel, in celebration of the official opening of the festival on November 3rd at the Directors Guild Theater in Hollywood. The Black Tie Denim Collection Showing starts at 6PM and will, of course, be a black tie event, a Castaldi tradition.
Using the universality of cinema to promote world understanding and cooperation, the Chinese American Film Festival (www.cafilmfestival.com) showcases highly acclaimed Chinese films and attempts to build closer ties and greater economic cooperation between China and the USA. Local, national, and international dignitaries and government officials, celebrities, industry officials, and notable cultural and business leaders from both countries will be in attendance.
Yves Castaldi, a French citizen who has been designing in Europe for over thirty years and has been here for six years, is known for his ability to alchemize disparate fabrics, such as denim and silk, into couture, with stunning results. "His internationally distributed collection is mysteriously sexy," says Fashion Editor Adam Nguyen. Castaldi, whose innovative fashion designs appeal to a global market, says, "We should support our earth and our citizens by purveying the message that we are ALL ONE PEOPLE or Citizens of the World." Indeed, Castaldi has sent this message to the world with his designs which surmount national boundaries.
