Riley Burnett to join Scottsdale's Wearable ArtWalk

Old Town Scottsdale's Occasions By Design is excited to host Jennie Riley and Jason Burnett, the heads of Australian jewelry design house Riley Burnett, at the second annual Wearable ArtWalk on Thursday, November 6, 7-9pm.
Riley Burnett has become popular from Sydney to Los Angeles for its distinctive jewelry designs of silver and semi-precious stones.
Designer Jennie Riley was initially inspired by a yearlong adventure exploring the Mediterranean coastline. Her collections continue to combine elements of Europe and Australia, with her most recent collection, French Diary, inspired by the Parisian textile quarter.
The family-owned company was founded in 2004 and is based out of Lennox Head, New South Wales. Scottsdale Fashion Week will be Riley Burnett's first visit to Scottsdale.
The Wearable ArtWalk, presented by the Scottsdale Gallery Association and the City of Scottsdale, will launch Scottsdale Fashion Week, a 4-day destination celebration of fashion and fine living.
Riley Burnett will join a number of other featured fiber artists and jewelers, including:
Carter Smith and Robin L. Bergman (MA)
Mary Jaeger (NY)
Peggoty Christensen (AZ)
Michelle Marcuse (PN)
Sally Ryan and Tatiana Van Iten (IN)
Randy Cooper and Pineda Covalin (NM)

This year there will be three venues showcasing the work of these and other artists, in Old Town Scottsdale. At each location professional models will be wearing these unique collections. Guests can also see a preview of Thursday night's runway shows at 8pm on Tuesday, November 4, at Canal Restaurant.
Art-to-Wear is defined as pieces of clothing or jewelry that are either one-of-a-kind or limited pieces. The Wearable ArtWalk 2008 offers local and visiting clients the opportunity to not only to see the marvelous creations, but to own a unique piece of art.
In addition to Thursday night's festivities, Occasions will be hosting a cocktail party on Friday, November 7. The event will be open to the public from 6-9pm and will feature custom cocktails, appetizers, and live music.
