China International Fashion Week, which kicked off in Beijing, on November 5, officially ended on November 12, 2008, with China Fashion Golden Prize.

The attires flaunted simple clean cuts and few pleats, with hardly and floral prints and dazzling embellishments. Colour pallet included subtle shades of purple, green, white and black.

Amidst current global recession, balanced consumption has become a theme for many designers. Xu Yanzhen, designer of the 'Discovery', explained to that the collection promoted simple lifestyle.

Even the high-end cashmere brand, Erdos, is in the process of transforming its showy image and present chic ensemble at affordable prices.
