Shiseido releases revised earnings forecast for Q1

Cosmetic firm Shiseido Company Limited has revised its earnings estimate for the first half of the fiscal year ending March 2006 (April 1, 2005 to March 31, 2006) as announced on April 27, 2005 in the Statement of Accounts (non-consolidated) and July 28, 2005 in the First Quarter Results (consolidated), based on the trend of recent performance and other reasons.

Japanese company Shiseido is a manufacturer of luxury cosmetics, makeup, skincare and fragrance.
The Shiseido Group, including affiliates, employs approximately 25,200 people around the globe. Out of the 8,500 persons employed by Shiseido overseas, less than 2% are Japanese nationals demonstrating Shiseido's firm belief in and actualization of assimilation with the host country.
