ESCADA starts sales process for PRIMERA brand

ESCADA AG, the international manufacturer of luxury women's fashion, has started the sales process for its 100% subsidiary PRIMERA AG, based in Münster/Westphalia, Germany. The mandate has been given to a major bank, UniCredit, which will collect offers for PRIMERA from the interested parties over the coming months.
The PRIMERA group comprises the four brands apriori, BiBA, cavita and Laurèl, all of which are positioned in the mid- to upper-price segment with a presence predominantly in the German market. There are no synergies with the core business of the ESCADA brand.
ESCADA is an international luxury fashion group in women's designer fashion. It has pursued a course of fsteady expansion since its founding in 1976 by Margaretha and Wolfgang Ley and today has 194 own shops and 226 franchise shops/corners in about 60 countries.
