Russian Fashion Week signs off with Millionaire Fair

On November 27-30 last off-schedule shows of Russian Fashion Week took part during Millionaire Fair, premium exhibition of luxury products, which was held this weekend in Moscow.

RFW designers (Dasha Gauser, Anna Direchina, Vittorio Viggiani, Andrey Repin, Maria Rybalchenko, Liza Pankratova) showcased their SS/09 collections during the Gala-show at the Millionaire Fair Closing Ceremony that attracted over 5,000 guests.

This appeared to be a worthy end of the Moscow fashion season that started on October 28 in the Congress-Hall of World Trade Center with the first show of Russian Fashion Week.

RFW SS/09 FIGURES:
1.Thai H.R.H. Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana presented her RTW collection during the Opening of Russian Fashion Week
2.Spanish designers - Custo Barcelona and Toni Francesc – in addition to the Italian Alessandro de Benedetti participated in RFW SS/09
3.runways were installed at the main RFW venue in Congress Hall of World Trade Center
4.Russian designers will showcase at Milan Fashion Week in 2009, according to the partnership agreement between RFW and C.N.M.I.
5.projects – Lofts Southshore, The River, The Heights, Amalfi, Northpoint – were presented by Raimon Land, RFW partner – the leading luxury property developer in Thailand
6.countries participated in RFW SS/09. Designers from Russia dominated: Arngoldt, Arsenicum, BIRYUKOV, Chari, Katia Mossina, PARFIONOVA, TEGIN, Viva Vox, Yegor by Egor Zaitsev, etc.
7.leading brands supported the fashion week: Aeroflot, Maybelline NY, MegaFon, Moet&Chandon and Hennessy, Swissotel Krasnye Holmy, Imperial Collection vodka

Some other interesting statistics:
-65 shows were included into RFW SS/09 schedule
-300 buyers attended RFW SS/09 edition
-1200 guests attended the most-visited RFW show (Masha Kravtsova)
-950 local and international journalists were accredited for the fashion week edition
-17,000 RFW media mentionings were created in November 2008 in Russian and international TV, radio, papers and Internet
-50,000 people attended RFW this season
-100,000,000-audience of World Fashion Channel was reached by RFW – all the RFW shows were broadcasted live on this satellite TV-channel

RFW puts Moscow on the global stage every April and October, and is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Russian Union of Businessmen and Entrepreneurs.

Russian Fashion Week fall-winter 2009/10 will take place in Moscow on March 29 – April 5, 2009
