Miss Italia nel Mondo Pageant, to be held in Northeast OhioSunday, February 22, 2009 at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven, Mayfield Heights, Ohio where selecting the regional candidate to Miss Italia nel Mondo will take place.

Following a preliminary review, candidates who best represent the captivating qualities of Italian womanhood will be selected. The winner of our Semi-Final in Ohio will be participating in the Final Competition which will be held on a Cruise from March 21 thru March 28, 2009 where "Miss Italy USA 2009" will be selected. Miss Italy USA will then participate in the 19th Annual Competition of Miss Italia nel Mondo in Jesolo (Venice), Italy in June 2009 whose main sponsor is SASCH (Firenze - Italia).

Single or married female contestants may enter and all candidates must be of Italian ancestry. The final competition is organized and managed by MIREN in collaboration with the Italian Broadcasting Corporation - Italian RADIOTELEVISIONE SPA.

The Second Edition of Miss Italy in the World in the Italian Consular District of Detroit covers the States of Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee, and is organized in collaboration with the Italian Community of Akron, Inc. "Le Radici" and the COMITES (Committee representing the Italian citizens abroad) and under the auspice of the Consulate of Italy in Detroit.
