The Themes
The Autumn/Winter Collection 2008/2009 consists of three main themes and an additional theme focusing on individual articles.

Blade Runner - Los Angeles in November 2019: A landscape of perpetual rain, old industrial backdrops, and dirty streets. In the American science fiction film “Blade Runner”, director Ridley Scott paints a gloomy vision of the city in which he sets his story about “blade runners” and “replicants”. The cult film has become famous particularly for its visual design and detailed sets.

Its colour palette and futuristic atmosphere were the template for the first colour theme, “Blade Runner”. Black and silt are the tones which characterise the ready-to-wear range, while colours like night blue and stone enhance the spectrum of shades in the casual wear range. This theme is dominated by close-fitting lines and dynamic forms combined with a clean, futuristic aesthetic.

Waldrausch / Forest Fever - Fog pierced by shafts of light and sunshine streaming through the treetops form the backdrop for “Waldrausch”. This colour theme was inspired by the cinematic romanticism of the late 1950s. The film of the same name is about a man who must choose between two women – classic material for a sentimental movie. The colour theme has its origins in Austrian “Alpine style”, but it bears no resemblance to hunting clothing. Fine weaves with leather appliqué, regular patterns, and lightly contrasting prints can be found in this theme. The colour palette ranges from oak and nutria to water, fire cone, and true red.

Der große Sprung / The Great Leap - The look of the late 1920s: The film “Der große Sprung” is about a goatherd named Gita, played by Leni Riefenstahl, who lives in a village in the Dolomites. Two men vying for the woman's heart compete with each other in a ski race. This traditional material has been reworked for the third colour theme. The oldfashioned skiing look is present, but not dominant. Wool meets nylon, voluminous cuts contrast with close-fitting ones, and smooth and soft surfaces are combined. Everything has a clean, sporty look. Although “Der große Sprung” is a classic black-and-white film, this colour theme offers more: Granite and silver dominate the suits, accented by raisin, beige, and dove.

Old School - The term “old school” means something current which makes reference to the past – in a positive sense. The fourth theme in the collection, which focuses on individual articles, also harks back to the past. The key word here is “colour blocking”, with strong colours recollecting the 1980s and David Bowie. This theme is very clean, with no hint of a vintage style. Royal blue and white are the main colours in the palette of the “Old School” theme.
