Adventurous line Z Zegna launches S/S 2009 collection

Z Zegna, the younger and more adventurous line of Ermenegildo Zegna, the men's luxury fashion brand known for its fine tailoring and innovative use of the most exquisite fabrics, launches its Spring/ Summer 2009 collection.
Z Zegna is the urban reality of the modern man, poetic in spirit and always refined. It is a balance of worldly sensitivity and masculine strength. Romantic design is expressed with the imaginative language of composition, creating a liberated vocabulary for tailored dressing.
The Spring/Summer 2009 Collection apprehends and interprets ideas by the faculty of imagination, shifting conventions with sophisticated ease. Three-dimentional designs are outlined in graphic cuts, emphasising contrasting forms, textures and the playful position of core shapes.
Soft structured tailoring is blended with poetic elegance, to cast a new modernist sensibility. Divergent matte and gloss finishes present a contrast in light and texture. A subtle sheen is emanated with 'rubberised silk jersey' and 'waxed baby lamb patina' outerwear, while 'linen voile' shirts and washed silk' tailoring soften senses for spring.
An urban yet ethnic conscious is created for relaxed summer dressing in the metropolis. Bi-colour 'cotton satin' outerwear in quadratic shapes creates a textured wind. Handmade paint prints, playful yet refined, embellish 'cotton linen canvas' waistcoats and 'jersey' t-shirts. Madra check tailoring in 'cotton silk poplin' is paied with 'washed silk' bow ties, evoking an eccentric modernity.
Accessories are effortlessly integrated, compounding style with substance. Painted canvas holdalls with nappa leather detailing are teamed with derby shoes and boots. 'Cotton knit' hats, lattice sandals, bi-colour belts and printed 'cotton poplin' ties embody the urban poetic look.
