JAM is experiencing solid development, which is proven by the over-30-percent increase in exhibitor and visitor numbers. On the three days from 30 January to 01 February 2009, 10.400 interested visitors came to the Rheinparkhallen exhibition centre to view the collections presented by the 370 exhibitors.

The areas included Denim, Sportswear, Streetwear, Young Fashion and Accessories. The product-focused trade fair enthused with its excellent selection of exhibitors, pleasant working atmosphere and unpretentious staging. Numerous foreign visitors, mainly from the Netherlands and Belgium, travelled to Cologne.

About 1.500 guests participated in the so-called JAMsessions at the Rheinterrassen Cologne to relax in style at a get-together after a busy trade fair day. The K-Swiss YUM YUM DJ team ensured that the party atmosphere continued well into the night.

“The response to JAM was again very positive this season. Unfortunately some news concerning the Berlin trade fair business caused concern amongst exhibitors and visitors. However, thanks to our concept as a working trade fair, we are not in direct competition and will continue to offer a platform for top-quality brands in the medium segment. We are further sharpening our profile and are working on expanding the exhibitor portfolio by new market segments,” explains Günther Sommer, JAM Marketing and Sales Manager.

Sebastian Klinder, JAM Trade Fair Management and Partner with the organizing munich fabric start exhibitions, sums up, “The trade fair was an all-round success. The extension to three days was welcomed by all participants. The frequency on Sunday was even better than on the two preceding fair days.”

The exact dates for the next event in July will be announced shortly.

“We are very happy with our trade fair presentation. The response to our collection was extremely good. We made numerous new customer contacts and are looking forward to the ordering season with optimism.” - Norbert Loew, Marketing Manager Bench

“JAM is and remains a good working trade fair. We are very happy to have made high-quality new customer contacts. It was interesting that there was an increased visitor presence from the Netherlands and Belgium this time. I look forward to seeing how JAM will react to the changed trade fair landscape in Germany after the return of Bread & Butter.” - Frank Götz, Country Manager Firetrap

“Our debut at JAM was successful. The fair organisation, as well as the retailer quality and quantity were convincing.” - Evelyn Schönleber, MAC Mode

“We are very happy overall with the course of the trade fair. However, it would be good if the exhibitor portfolio, especially in the denim segment, were to include additional renowned brands.” - Serdar Mazmanoglu, Managing Director Mavi Jeans

“We experienced a successful re-launch with high visitor frequency. For us, JAM is the ideal platform. Here, we have enough time and space to present the products to our customers in the pleasant atmosphere at Rheinparkhallen.” - Wolfgang Sahm, Managing Director HIS Jeans
