Eclat de Mode manages honourable result in difficult conditions

The show allowed me to get my collections known internationally. I took orders from Spain and I made more than a dozen good contacts with Swiss and German buyers that are highly likely to turn into actual orders over the next few weeks.
So far as France goes, I also took an order from Bon Marché and made some good contacts.”
Coralie Zana, designer for the Perle de Rosée label reports a very positive balance for her participation, “even if it wasn't on a par with September 2008”. “My line of small, top of the range leather items went down very well with jewellery buyers, and my line of gold and diamonds also went very well. I took a good number of orders and made contacts that I hope will lead…”

Geographical origins
The best represented provinces: Provence Alps Cote d'Azur, Rhône Alps, Aquitaine, Pays de la Loire, North–Picardie, Brittany, Normandy, Languedoc, Midi-Pyrénées, Centre, Overseas territories.
The most spectacular increase came from the Centre region +7.3% and the Aquitaine +6.2%.
32% of the visitors were from abroad and came from 92 countries, the ”top 10” were: Italy, Belgium, Spain, UK, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, The Netherlands, Greece, USA
Their activity
In comparison with January 2008, the proportion of prêt-à-porter retailers (up 4.3 points to 13.42%) rose significantly.
50.5% of the visitors were shop managers or directors, and purchasing managers from large organizations accounted for 12.5%.
RESULTS OF THE “ETOILES DE MODE” COMPETITION
These awards are always received with enthusiasm by the winners and excite considerable interest amongst the visitors.
The juries met on Firday morning, first day of the show. All the juries were looking for creativity, concern for innovation, use of materials, the level of professionalism, a touch of the unusual, aesthetic perfection …
The “Etoiles de Mode” trophies were presented to the winners at a cocktail party held at 7.00 p.m. on Saturday 31st January in the CREAM by ECLAT de MODE space.
The ceremony took place in a festive atmosphere created by DJ Chris Thomas.
