Also new to Pure London was Ethical Pure, where 37 accessory, footwear and womenswear brands showcased their collections. Ethical Seminars were held over the three days which offered great advice on buying ethical fashion. One leading London department store commented 'There has been a good expansion at the show. The Ethical section is really interesting for us and the catwalk has given us some brilliant inspiration.'

The Main Catwalk and Spirit Catwalk showed the best collections for Autumn Winter 2009, plus there was more information than ever available for buyers through the trend presentations and Inspirational Indies Q&A hosted by Drapers magazine. Interviews were conducted with leading UK retailers including Ali Kynaston-Mainwaring, owner of Alizari in Chester, Hilary Haresign, owner of Snooty Frox in Harrogate and Bridget Cosgrave, fashion and buying director of designer mini chain Matches.

Helping buyers plan ahead for the season, the Pure Catwalk showcased dedicated scenes from Almost Famous, InWear, Vero Moda, Mais Il Est Ou Le Soleil?, Lauren Vidal, Leila Hafzi and Ian Stuart London as well as scenes from Ethical Pure and Elan Directional. Whilst the impressive catwalk show in the Spirit section provided an upbeat visual aid for visitors with an exclusive scene from Desguial, Jack & Jones and Disney Couture showcasing their menswear collections. Lipsy, Yumi, Unique Boutique, Only, Superdry and Motel also brought striking designs to the Spirit catwalk.

The Accessories and Footwear section increased with an impressive pavilion dedicated to Italian Footwear brands, as well as a range of new jewellery and handbag brands. Jan Shutt owner of Sunday Best in Lancashire commented 'The quality of product and the expansion of the footwear & accessory area at Pure London, is fantastic. The time saved to see this under one roof, makes life so easy for buyers.'

Sarah Lawrence, Pure London's Event Director commented 'This was the largest ever Pure London in the 25 seasons the show has been running, with over 900 brands on show. Considering the market and retail climate, and with other industry shows experiencing falls in their numbers, to have our overall visitor attendance up by 4.25% year on year is an amazing achievement. It is important for exhibitors and retailers to work together through the current economic climate and Pure London certainly facilitated this.'

The dates for next season's Pure London are 2, 3, 4 August 2009, at Olympia, London.
