Triple Flip, a fashion retailer featuring high-quality activewear and accessories for style-savvy preteen and early teen girls, unveiled the spring line of its signature Minky Dimples jackets. New sassy colours include Chick, Lime and Marin, as well as fun new tie-dye Minkies in Blossom Pink and Cloud Blue. The bright, luxuriously soft hoodies, have become a fashion must-have for girls ages 7 to sixteen with thousands of jackets sold each month through Triple Flip's current three stores in Calgary, Saskatoon and Edmonton, as well as by phone order to customers around the world.
"When we began planning our designs three years ago, we knew from our initial focus groups that the Minkies were a hit," said Linda Maslechko, president and co-founder, Triple Flip. "Given that, we still didn't anticipate just how hot an item they would become. Some girls own a Minky in every color, and have been waitlisted for months in anticipation of the new spring selection. Chick, a bright yellow, is the hottest color this spring"
Triple Flip's Minky Dimples jackets have been known to get snapped up quickly with thousands purchased each month. Some sizes get gobbled up by waitlists before they even hit the shelves. In fall 2008, Triple Flip accumulated an 18-page long Minkies waiting list, which it worked tirelessly to fulfill when the holiday shipment arrived.
All Flipwear designs are created with input from real girls and real girl customers are used as models in the store and online. High quality technical performance fabrics, uncommonly found in youth clothing, make up the majority of Triple Flip clothing, which is designed to play hard, just as real girls do. Triple Flip products are designed in Calgary, and produced solely in North America.
