Jimmy Au's For Men 5 '8" and Under is proud to announce their Jimmy Au brand has been selected to wardrobe one of our nation's great sports figures, Olympic Gold Medalist, Scott Hamilton for the 2009 World Figure Skating Championships (commonly referred to as Worlds) of which he has the honor of hosting.

This event is the most prestigious of the International Skating Union, and is the most important annual figure-skating competition. For the once Gold Medalist the chance to participate off the ice meant he could leave the spandex and frill behind and show the world suave sophistication that only Scott trusts the Jimmy Au brand to achieve.

Jimmy Au's for Men 5'8" and Under has been in business for over 35 years in Southern California and is the United States' only designer short men's store offering an unparalleled selection of high-end clothing for short men. Jimmy Au's clothing has been praised and recognized for its height accentuating fit by the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Men's Vogue and many more. Forbes has also listed Jimmy Au's For Men 5'8" and Under as one of their 2008 Top Ten Clothing Stores for Men.

Sought by the biggest names in the fashion industry Jimmy Au was tapped to create the first ever extra short collections for Jack Victor, DKNY, Lauren by Ralph Lauren, CK by Calvin Klein, Sean John, and Michael by Michael Kors eventually leading to a creating a name in the film and TV world known for producing the best fit and style for the smaller man.

This year's 2009 World's host Scott Hamilton, who stands 5'2", knows all too well the struggle of a short man trying to make his mark. Despite the resistance of skating judges who believed he was too short to compete at the international level, Hamilton proved them all wrong and earned the title of an Olympian. And even recently with his role on Celebrity Apprentice, Scott felt the stigma against a short man with power and quickly brought in Jimmy Au to ensure his wardrobe accentuated
his height.

Being asked to host the 2009 Worlds came as quite an honor to Scott and having worked with him in the past and recently on Celebrity Apprentice, I knew he'd want to look better than his best and for any man that all begins with the perfect fit, says Alan Au (Director of Marketing for Jimmy Au's For Men 5'8"and Under). A pristine fitting wardrobe not only will extenuate height but deliver an overall look of elegance, hence the call to designer Jimmy Au.

With experience clothing the entertainment industry's finest leading men such as Al Pacino, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Kevin Connelly and now world figure skating champion Scott Hamilton, Jimmy Au pioneers the fashion world when it comes to not compromising the proportion or perception of a gentleman's height. It is this power of proportion that is the key to his success as a designer.
