Pearl Academy launches industry integrated B.A. Programmes with IGNOU

The leader in Fashion & Design education in India, Pearl Academy of Fashion has joined hands with IGNOU, the largest central university, to offer Industry Integrated 4 year Bachelor's programmes in Fashion Design (FD), Textile Design (TD) and Fashion Merchandising & Production (FMP) through study centres spread across the country. These innovatively designed programmes will not only impart the conceptual understanding of the subjects, but also help in developing the skill set required for long term success in the industry. Continuous interaction with industry through internships, live projects and assignments is another key feature of these programmes which will enhance the relevance of the programme to the companies thereby helping students find good placements. The Academy has announced admission for session 2009 - 10 for which the last date for submission of applications is July 6, 2009 and the session will commence from August 17, 2009.

• Intensive Face-to-Face classroom interaction for theory and practical courses
• Continuous industry interaction through in-depth analyses of industries & companies, case studies, industry relevant portfolio/ dissertation, projects, study tours, conferences and seminars
• Self Learning Instruction Material/Study Material prepared by subject experts to stimulate independent learning
• Well equipped laboratories and resource centres for hands on learning experience

These PAF-IGNOU programmes aim to provide trained industry ready manpower to the fast growing fashion and textile industry in India. Despite the downturn in economy, fashion industry is perennially short of qualified and talented personnel. Even today, when many industries are facing retrenchment, there is no dearth of jobs in fashion industry for the technically qualified and hardworking young graduates.
