These PAF-IGNOU programmes aim to provide trained industry ready manpower to the fast growing fashion and textile industry in India. Despite the downturn in economy, fashion industry is perennially short of qualified and talented personnel. Even today, when many industries are facing retrenchment, there is no dearth of jobs in fashion industry for the technically qualified and hardworking young graduates.

The fashion industry is manpower hungry and will remain so in the foreseeable future. World over, Indians are at the helm of several branded fashion companies. So, it is not just India, but also the world that beckons Indian youth to join the fashion industry and contribute to its accelerating prosperity.

These PAF-IGNOU programmes combine the strengths of both IGNOU and Pearl Academy of Fashion for disseminating quality education in fashion and design to a larger section of our population including those living in remote areas. The programmes aim to bring about convergence between the flexibility of continuing education with the conventional learning system for providing face-to-face classroom teaching augmented by appropriate technological interventions. Together with IGNOU, Pearl Academy of Fashion has created a powerful teaching-learning model.
