William Dragon, Jr., former President and CEO of London Fog Industries, has recently joined the Board of Directors of lifestyle accessories brand Ellington. Ellington serves both wholesale and consumer customer bases, specializing in casual-chic handbags and travel accessories in signature leathers and fabrics.

Dragon has over twenty years of experience in the apparel industry, dating back to the early 1980s when he served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Buxton,a manufacturer of men's and women's leather accessories. Dragon then served as President of athletic footwear brand Avia, as well as Vice President of Avia's parent company, Reebok International, Ltd. He was President of Pacific Trail, Inc. before being named President and CEO of its parent company, London Fog Industries in March 1999. Dragon served as a Director on the Board of lucy activewear, a women's apparel retailer, prior to that company's 2007 acquisition by VF Corp.

Ellington CEO Mike Edwards, former CEO of lucy activewear, was instrumental in bringing Dragon on board at Ellington. "Bill is an industry veteran with vast experience growing wholesale brands," Edwards says. "He was an incredible partner at lucy, helping to grow the company into a coveted consumer brand. We welcome him to Ellington's Board of Directors, and look forward to continued strategic growth with his invaluable input."

Dragon joins existing Ellington Board members Tariq Malhance, Ross Christianson, and Sachin Gupta, all of Chicago-based private equity firm UIB Capital, which purchased Ellington in 2006.

For over 20 years, Ellington has been making practical yet fashionable accessories for women. Ellington's current line includes handbags, totes, travel bags, and wallets in fine leathers and fabrics. With a focus on signature materials and unique designs, Ellington's products communicate quality and character without large logos or trendy gimmicks.
