Justin Rose and Maurice Lacroix signed a contract over a close partnership. The collaboration starts with immediate effect and will last for three years, with an option on extension for two additional years. The goal is to convert the mutual appreciation in several creative projects on an international basis.

"We could not desire a better ambassador for our company. We create watches for people who have the confidence to be themselves. Personalities who stand out from the crowd, who are authentic and looking for more than social status. This profile fits Justin Rose perfectly", says CEO Martin Bachmann. With his natural charisma and pleasant yet focused manner, the British golfer uniquely embodies the spirit of Maurice Lacroix. "Authenticity is not a marketing slogan for us, it is a state of mind. Our fundamental desire is to create products that are genuine and true, whose actual value is not only in what can be seen," explains Bachmann.

The things with which Justin Rose, born on 30 July 1980, surrounds himself must reflect his attitude and provide meaningful accompaniment to his life. "I am interested in the best quality, because I want to have something from the things around me for a long time and I must be able to rely on them. For me the design is every bit as important as the function. Ostentation for the wrist and bling bling do not fit into my world."

Justin Rose burst onto the golfing scene as a 17 year old at the 1998 British Open at Royal Birkdale when he holed a 40 metre pitch shot for a birdie on his final hole to claim 4th place. He started his professional career the next day. Justin Rose is considered one of golf's most consistent players. He is one of the best in Europe. In 2007 he won the European Tour Order of Merit, reached a career high of number 6 in the world rankings and won the Volvo Masters in Valderama. In 2008 he made his first appearance for the European Ryder Cup team, where he defeated Phil Mickelson in the singles and was the best performing rookie for both teams.

Since the launch of its first watch model in 1975, Maurice Lacroix has developed to become a sought-after Manufacture brand. With its own factories producing complex components for mechanical calibers, Maurice Lacroix joined the exclusive league of Swiss watchmakers at the end of 2006. Thanks to continued innovative development both in technical fields and in design, Maurice Lacroix has registered several patents and trademarks. The Mémoire 1, the first mechanical watch with a memory which was officially presented at Baselworld 2008, gained worldwide acclaim.

Maurice Lacroix is one of the few independent watchmakers and employs only 300 people worldwide, around 200 of whom are based at the international head office in Zürich and the production facilities in Saignelégier and Montfaucon in Switzerland.
