PORTFOLIO to mark entry of PAF students into professional world

The graduating Fashion Design students of Pearl Academy of Fashion are all set to make a grand entry into the world of fashion through Portfolio 2009, the annual graduating show. 'Portfolio', which in the past has launched a few of the best known names in fashion industry, will again allow the debutants to showcase their explorations with latest technology, raw materials and processes to develop forward-looking collections. Taking place at the Siri Fort Auditorium on the 29th of May 2009, the event will be attended by some of the best known names from the fashion fraternity.
Portfolio, which has made a name for itself one the biggest annual events in its genre, has earned a respectable place in the calendar of the Fashion world. It provides a perfect platform for the students to showcase their creativity, versatility and innovativeness through an extensive range of dresses based on various themes.
This year, the stage is all set to sizzle with Super Models like Sonalika Sahay, Amanpreet Wahi, Krishna Somani, and Tina Chatwal of Wills Lifestyle India fashion week fame, Barkha Kaul, Jayashree Tahiliani, Sahiba Singh- Femina Miss India personality and many others walking the ramp wearing beautiful dresses designed by Pearl graduates. Renowned Emcee and Page 3 celebrity Ramneek Pantal is all set to host the show.
The creativity of the students will be judged by an esteemed panel consisting of Sandhya Raman, Sunita Shankar, Tushar and Nida Mahmood. The fashion show will be choreographed by Kaushik Ghosh, one of India's leading fashion model choreographer and internationally renowned model trainer.
Announcing the event, Dr. A.K.G. Nair, Group Director, Pearl Academy of Fashion, said “PORTFOLIO has been a signature event of Pearl Academy of Fashion and has carved a special niche for itself in the industry. Over the years the event has been fascinating fashion honchos and taking the industry by storm. The quality of designs and creations by the students has improved with each passing year. We expect that Portfolio this year would be able to get better visibility among the youth and make a mark for itself.”
