Sensuous curves. Organically inspired shapes. Precious 18k gold. Carefully selected genuine gemstones. PANDORA, internationally recognized for its signature charm bracelet, announced a new fine jewelry collection with the launch of LovePods, its first 18 karat gold jewelry. The line, comprised of rings, necklaces, pendants, bracelets and earrings, was introduced at the 2009 JCK Las Vegas Jewelry Show, a premiere venue for manufacturers, designers and retailers in the jewelry industry.

"Our inspiration for LovePods came from shapes found in nature, especially the structure of flower pods with beautiful curves and rich bursts of color," said Jody Christian, PANDORA Marketing Director, North America. "Its feminine lines with contemporary styling make the gemstones really stand out. Whether the pieces are worn alone, stacked or in combination with others in the collection, each is meticulously handcrafted and makes an elegant statement."

Designed by Mads Trolle and Lee Antony Gray, renowned European goldsmiths, the North American debut of LovePods follows its introduction to Europe last year.

LovePods is made from 18 karat gold, and enhanced with diamonds and vibrant gemstones including topaz, citrine, peridot, spinel, smoked quartz and amethyst. The collection features an assortment of stackable rings, station-style necklaces and bracelets, pendants and dangle-drop earrings. Prices range from $160 U.S. for pendants to $1,600 U.S. for pavé diamond rings.

"The PANDORA brand is distinctive in its ability to tap into the innermost desires of contemporary women who like to individualize their style," explained Christian. "LovePods is in keeping with this tradition. Rings can be stacked to create beautiful combinations of color. Necklaces of golden chains with gemstones can be layered. Delicate drop earrings can be added to finish the look."
