Calgaro, the acclaimed Italian jewellery brand offers a fitting array of adornments for summer in the form of its 'Soleil' collection paying tribute of the sun.

Crafted in multi-hued versions of gold, with a tasteful sprinkling of diamonds in unique code patterns, Soleil offers a mesmerizing array of voluminous necklaces, bracelets and rings for casual daily adornment as well as evening spotlight. Imbued with a primitive charm, Soleil recalls the reverence with which ancient civilizations looked up to the sun as the 'sacred circle' in magical constellations of adornment. Incidentally, Soleil's necklace, a lavish design of hypnotic solar rings handcrafted using 18k yellow gold and a myriad of custom-set diamonds was a finalist at the 13th Town & Country Couture Awards held in Las Vegas, USA, last year.

Commenting on the collection, Giuseppe Calgaro, CEO of Calgaro said, “In times past, mankind was enraptured at the beauty and power of the elements. But today, due to the busy lifestyles that we lead, we often take for granted their presence and importance. Soleil's array of jewels is designed to recall the mystery and wonder of nature in jewels of rich visual and tactile appeal echoing a woman's innermost sentiments and emotions that can be worn effortlessly with a variety of outfits.”

Soleil rivets you with its 'primitive' appeal, to form a lavish fabric of unpolished gold rings that exude a natural glow, further highlighted by the presence of 'diamond eruptions.' The design house thereafter 'strings' together large voluminous necklaces to grace the neck in cascading circles of gold! Or as a broad bracelet you can never tire of wearing! It also offers earrings of various kinds from small hoops you can select for daily wear to larger, more glamorous pieces.

It is not for nothing that Calgaro's jewels have often been referred to as “the outcome of an emotional journey involving all the senses” with texture being their cornerstone. Research, innovation and the search for unusual beauty mark its progress. Founded by Giuseppe Calgaro and his wife Monica Fin in 2000 this eponymous brand continues to push the frontiers of creativity.

It first came into the limelight when it unveiled one of the most lightweight chains by working gold and silver in a totally new way through a system that was later patented. It has received recognitions from distinguished international bodies such as the Gold Virtuosi Award for Design and Bvlgari Award of Excellence in 2002, and the MPP Arabia Editor's Choice Award in 2006 and the Couture Award in Design - Gold Category in 2004 and 2008.

Calgaro's other collections include Perfect which evokes the Japanese Zen aesthetics of imperfect beauty in sequences of peculiarly shaped gold rings, mixed with semi-precious stones of delicate colours and irregular cuts. Its other collection DiVa is inspired by 1940s Hollywood stars such as the legendary Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich, offering unique necklaces of 18k gold crochet fabric and wedge wood links and buckles. While its Cipria line dedicated to the last queen of France, Marie-Antoinette presents a vintage array of jewels glowing with luminous, gem stones such as topaz, pink tourmalines and champagne

Select from Calgaro's compellingly beautiful Soleil collection is now available at select Damas Les Exclusives Boutiques in Dubai.
