Moda, the UK's largest trade fashion exhibition, has launched a brand new swim and beachwear zone at this Augusts' event, which runs at the NEC in Birmingham on 9 -11 August. Many key swimwear and beachwear names have already signed up for what promises to be the UK's premier showcase for the swimwear industry.
“Moda Beach offers swim and beachwear brands the opportunity to show their collections at a fashion-led event which can attract both swimwear buyers and fashion retailers,” says Moda Beach event manager Penny Robinson. “It's something buyers and brands have been asking for, for some time, and the quality of the brands already signed up shows that the industry's key players are behind the move.”
Leading brands confirmed for Moda Beach in August include Calvin Klein Swimwear, Panache, Moontide & Bond-eye,Miraclesuit and Magicsuit, Sunflair, Opera, Sunmarin, Seaspray, Anita, Cheeky Beach and Eclipse. More new names will be announced in the next few weeks.
Peter Cronin of lingerie brand Panache said; “We're excited to be part of the launch of Moda Beach. Moda is a quality event and offers the right venue for our brand. Its central location is accessible to buyers from the South, Midlands and North and being part of a wider show also has the bonus of attracting retailers who may not have considered swimwear before.”
Swimwear will also be making its way onto the Moda catwalk this season with two dedicated shows each day, featuring fashion led swimwear labels, presenting the key looks of spring/summer 2010.
This unique platform, within the UK's largest trade show, will allow retailers to survey and shop the entire marketplace with ease alongside a full line up of special events. This season's free seminar programme sees leading retail expert Dennis Reid giving invaluable advice on 'beating the downturn in trading' and Craig Phillipson of Shopworks, offering expertise on 'the customer journey through the store' looking at retail planning and design.
