Middle East's fashion industry stays optimistic

The Gulf clothing market, worth US$ 12 billion, will witness new brands as international companies target this global growth opportunity, industry expert say.

"There are still great opportunities available in the Middle East as the market has not yet matured" Mr. Yilmaz Yilmaz, Chairman of the famous Turkish brand, Koton said. Koton has opened 23 stores all over the Middle East region while partnering with leading international companies including Landmark International.

Motexha, the Middle East's leading trade event for garments, textiles, leather and fashion accessories is a gateway to new entrants who wish to gain a foothold in the region's accelerating fashion industry.

Motexha 2009, held on 7th - 9th April, saw an astounding increase of 10% in the number of visitors amidst the financial crisis.

The 2010 edition of Motexha will be held from 6th - 8th April at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
