FRANCAL is the great business opportunity for the sector

Every year, the FRANCAL - INT´L SHOES, FASHION, ACCESSORIES, MACHINES AND COMPONENTS FAIR is awaited with great expectation by the market due to its importance to the sector since it represents the best opportunity of the year for doing business with the Brazilian footwear and accessories industry for both the domestic and foreign markets.

On one hand, FRANCAL 2009(July,14 to 17) gathers more than one thousand exhibiters in the 80 thousand m² area at Anhembi, in São Paulo, the largest complex for business events in Latin America. On the other, it is estimated that more than 50 thousand professional visitors from the sector will be received from every state in the country and nearly 100 countries from every continent.

Putting these visitors – 40% of whom are buyers – in contact with the main launches for the biggest selling season of the year, spring-summer, it is responsible for up to four months of production and eight months of sales for the retail market. The trade show positions itself as an important business environment for the domestic and international markets.

FRANCAL represents one of the most dynamic sectors of the Brazilian economy, responsible in 2007 for the generation of more than 300 thousand direct jobs and the production of more than 800 million pairs of shoes. Of that total, more than 20% were exported, generating foreign reserves of around US$ 1.9 billion for the country.

Besides the broad and consistent dissemination in the domestic buyer market, FRANCAL FEIRAS, which promotes and organized FRANCAL 2009 maintains an elaborate international strategy and strives to attract importers, thus contributing towards the opening of new business and increasing its exhibiters' exports. For such, it participates in the main global events for the sector, strengthens partnerships with international entities, places ads in the main specialized publications in the world and sends personalized credentials to a highly qualified mailing of more than ten thousand importers around the globe.
