Though Spring 2010 Fashion Week and economic recovery may be months away, a new series of fashion shows featuring fashion trends from high-end designers means stylish New Yorkers don't have to wait that long to get their fix.

On July 1, 2009, The Vogue City will host the first
"Affordable to Wear" Fashion Show with apparel provided by Wear Today Gone Tomorrow at the New York showroom of Savvy & Co. The extravaganza will be the first in a series of events organized by The Vogue City, an online lifestyle magazine catering to the bargain-savvy, stylish New York woman.

Slated for a start time of 5:30 p.m., the show will begin with cocktails and music, which will be followed by a brief introduction of Wear Today Gone Tomorrow and a "City Nights" themed fashion show. After the show, additional time will be set aside for attendees to mingle and exchange impressions.

The impetus behind the series of fashion shows that premier on July 1st is to bring smart, stylish New Yorkers the latest trends from high-end designers at a price tag they can afford. This inaugural event will feature items from designers including Herve Leger, Nanette Lepore, Diane Von Furstenberg and many more. All items presented during the show are available to be borrowed from WearTodayGoneTomorrow.com.

The 'Affordable to Wear' show is open to the public, and tickets can be purchased through TheVogueCity.com and WearTodayGoneTomorrow.com before June 29th, 2009.

The Vogue City has dedicated itself to bringing New Yorkers information and knowledge of the real New York bargains and to building a community of style-loving, bargain-savvy women. Fueled partially by the economic condition, but also by a proliferation of blogs and social networks on the subject, sale and sample sale events have become extremely popular this past year. With this series of events, The Vogue City is attempting to educate both its readers and members of its Bargain Connoisseur community and introduce them to extraordinary individuals and companies that are dedicated to maintaining the site's focus on providing true value to everyone.

Savvy & Co. is a company dedicated to maintaining the true essence of sample sales. It offers cutting-edge apparel direct from the brand to its members at phenomenal prices (wholesale and below wholesale). With discriminating personal-style palettes to choose from and by consulting the latest trend reports, Savvy customers are able to select what is most appropriate to the season.

Wear Today Gone Tomorrow is a new national women's clothing rental website that provides a weekly rental system similar to movie rental websites, but instead with the highest quality designer clothing, at 90% off retail, and with no monthly membership or late fees.

It has won The Vogue City readers' vote as the most innovative company with its unique business model that allows women to rent designer attire, wear it only onceand then return it. As a result, bargain-savvy women now have the opportunity to shine like celebrities at special events for 10% of what they'd pay for the same outfit at retail.

Budget-conscious New Yorkers who would like to receive an invitation to the "Affordable to Wear" show can sign up for a ticket online on TheVogueCity.com. Due to event exclusivity, a limited amount of regular admission tickets will be available until June 29th, 2009 online.
